PostSpeaker Privacy Policy

Please read this information carefully before creating a PostSpeaker account

PostSpeaker reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you here, by either a means of a notice on our home page or by email, so that you may access and review the changes to this document in advance of your continued use of the service. If you object to any changes, you may close your account by contacting hello@postspeaker.com. By continuing to use the PostSpeaker services after notice of changes has been sent to you or published on the PostSpeaker website, you are consenting to the changes.


We collect information

  • when you register an account to become a PostSpeaker user, such as your company name, name, e-mail, address details, phone number, country, your location and a password.

  • when you connect with social networks like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, such as your name, gender, profile picture, email address, username, account name, your friends and connections count, the pages you manage, share and like analytics on content posted through PostSpeaker.

  • when you interact with the PostSpeaker application, features and functionality, including PostSpeaker mobile applications, software and platform technology. We may collect your IP address, browser type, operating system, mobile carrier, your ISP and when using our mobile application your location.

  • when you invite employees / team members, we store the name and email address of that employee.

  • when become a paid user, such as your name, (billing) address, VAT number.


Uses of Social Media Permissions

When you connect with social media we request certain permissions. We use these permissions for:

LinkedIn: fetching your basic profile information including your email, posting to LinkedIn on your behalf, keeping a count of your connections for analytics purposes

Twitter: fetching your basic profile information, posting to Twitter on your behalf, keeping a count of your followers for analytics purposes

Facebook: fetching your basic profile information including your email, fetching a list of pages you have access to, enabling you to post to Facebook via the PostSpeaker app, keeping a count of your friends for analytics purposes, enabling you to post to a page that you manage


Uses of personal information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Help you manage your account and users in your account.

  • Post to your social media from our application. We never post without your consent

  • Be able to have our support team contact you

  • Send PostSpeaker notifications by email

  • To develop algorithms, heuristics and computer programs ("Tools") to help us more efficiently spot problem accounts and to use such Tools, together with personal viewing by employees and or independent contractors, to uncover Users who violate either our Terms of Use or applicable law.

  • To bill and collect money that you owe us for using our service.

  • To help enforce compliance with our Terms of Use and applicable law

We do not sell, rent or otherwise provide personally identifiable information to third parties without your consent, except where it is necessary to carry out your instructions (to process your payment information, for example).

We do not sell, rent or otherwise provide any contact information including address details and email to any third parties.

Please note that in order to fulfil your requests for paid services, we share your payment information with our payment processor.

WE DO NOT POST TO YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT. YOU CAN REVIEW AND ADJUST ALL CONTENT SCHEDULED FOR POSTING TO YOUR ACCOUNT(S) DURING THE REVIEW PERIOD (MINIMUM OF 3 DAYS), AFTER WHICH THE CONTENT IS AUTOMATICALLY BEING POSTED TO YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNT(S) UNLESS YOU REJECT IT COMPLETELY.

IN CASE OF FACEBOOK, WE DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY POST TO YOUR FACEBOOK ACCOUNT UNLESS YOU HAVE SPECIFICALLY WRITTEN AND APPROVED THE POST YOURSELF.

In case of Facebook pages, you can only publish to Facebook pages that you own or have publishing rights for.


Control over your information

You can:

  • Control which of your social networks you connect with PostSpeaker, and revoke access from PostSpeaker at any time

  • Control the messages you receive from PostSpeaker.

  • Control what is being posted on your social media accounts, and review, change and reject anything that's scheduled for posting.

  • Remove the connection and data, including access tokens, of any social media account you've connected to Postspeaker

  • Delete your account and all its information yourself using the app.

  • Ask PostSpeaker support hello@postspeaker.com to delete your account and information.


Cookies

We use cookies and web log files to track site usage and trends, to improve the quality of our service and to customize your experience on PostSpeaker. A cookie is a tiny data file that resides on your computer, mobile phone, or other device, and allows us to recognize you as a user when you return to the PostSpeaker website using the same computer and web browser. You can remove or block cookies using the settings in your browser.


Your obligation to other users

Do not abuse the PostSpeaker service by using it to spam, harass or otherwise violate the Terms of Use or the Privacy Policy.


Storing of information

  • Personal information you provide will be secured in accordance with industry standards and technology.

  • Payment information such as your credit card number and billing information is not stored on the PostSpeaker servers, but securely stored with our PCI Level 1 Compliant payment processor

  • You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your unique password and account information, and for controlling access to your email communications at all times

  • Please note that by becoming a user, you have given PostSpeaker your express and informed consent that all data you provide to PostSpeaker is to be stored in our data center in the EU and/or USA


Security

In order to help secure your personal information, access to your data on PostSpeaker is password-protected, and sensitive data (such as credit card information) is protected by SSL encryption when it is exchanged between your web browser and the PostSpeaker website. However, since the internet is not a 100 percent secure environment, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to PostSpeaker. There is no guarantee that information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. It is your responsibility to protect the security of your login information.
